Pad Printing is the lean process with simple features that can reduce working processes. It can print images well, even with small details in various shapes and substrates. Apart from its cost efficiency and environmentally friendly than traditional printing process, Graphics can be changed as required. The print image is not irritating to the skin. Therefore, most of manufacturers in Garment and Textile Industry choose to print directly on the fabric, also known TAGLESS, instead of sewn-in label that tells the brand information, size, instructions for caring and cleaning the clothes, and etc. In addition to TAGLESS, Pad printing can also be applied for decorating on any types of fabric.
In this article, Marketing team comes up with an idea to design the product sample that can present and describe the efficiency of this process, and also enable to utilize in our daily life. We have brainstormed and designed, in collaboration with Product Testing Department.
The working steps in the details below.
The design requiring technical elements in order to be attractive, understandable, and practical. Therefore, we have to brainstorm ideas in all aspects. To sum up, the guidelines of design and pad printing techniques are as the followings.
• For the outer side of the bag, we choose the fabric with checkered pattern alternate vertically and horizontally across multiple colors (Loincloth or plaid pattern) to prove that the ink printed on the fabric is opaque with sharp text and outstanding look from the background.
• From the outer to inner side, the images and patterns are linked together with blue, white, red, and yellow stripes, designed to be a grid pattern. Using white Polyester fabric and printing with sublimation process.
• Continual creation with the use of contrasting lines to create a carp, which will be pad printed in the grid of the inner cloth, applying metallic silver with a luster, and yellow-red color switching the side of the fish to look differently. The carp can be viewed in various dimensions, small ones are alternating colors and in the wide angles look like large fish, countless fish. Then, complete the design with a bag strap to make it look more charming.
